To Chinese, Qi (Energy) is the basis of good health.When adequate, it fuels metabolism so that food is transformed into energy and blood instead of waste. But when Qi is deficient,then digestion and elimination are poor, and we retain more water and accumulate phlegm, fat, and cysts. To your good health, it's recommended to eat at least one bowl daily.

Ingredients: (About 2 servings )

1/2 cup Chinese dried barley
( About twice larger than western barley)

1/2 cup Fwu Ling(Poria)

1/2 cup Shan Yao (Chinese Yam)

1/2 cup Gou Gi(dried Wolfberry Fruit)

1/2 cup fresh parsley (optional)

Method:

Simmer these in a glass or ceramic-coated pot until all ingredients are soft, approximately one hour or more. Add fresh parsley, a little salt substitute, and black pepper. You can eat all the ingredients, they are good for you.
