Turn left hand to the left front in a down curve till hand is by right flank, palm facing up, as if holding a ball. Raise right hand to the front of right part of chest, palm facing in, as if hugging a ball.

While exhaling, take a step forward with left foot (about 11 o'clock direction), heel first. Shifts your weight onto left leg and bend the knee. Straighten the right leg with whole foot on floor in a "left bow stance". Meanwhile, stretch left arm in an up curve out to left, hand shoulder-height, with left elbow, knee and toes in one line. Push right hand down from the position of chest to abdomen with the palm facing down and the thumb near the navel.
