Tai Chi Classroom Form 10. Cloud Hands While inhaling, shift weight onto right leg with a slight right turn of body. Turn left foot inward on its heel. Meanwhile, drop left hand in a down curve past abdomen to the front of right part of chest, palm faces right. Look at left hand. While exhaling, shift weight onto left leg. Move right foot to the inside of left foot, toes on floor. Meanwhile, move left hand, now facing in, counter-clockwise past face to left front, palm up, facing out and fingertips to eyebrow-height. At the same time, drop right palm, hand unhooked, in a down curve to abdomen. Palm faces up with the little finger close to the navel. While inhaling, shift weight gradually onto right leg, while dropping left hand in a down curve to left hip, raise right hand, palm facing in, clockwise from abdomen past face to the right of the face. As body weight is now entirely rested on right leg, lift left heel while exhaling. Move left hand in a curve to abdomen, palm facing up and the little finger close to the navel. At the same time, turn right hand inward so that palm is upright, facing out. Look at right hand. While you are inhaling, take a step to the left with left foot, gradually bearing body weight. Turn body slightly left, while moving left palm, counterclockwise, past face to near left eye. Move right hand in a down curve to hip, palm faces down. Look at left hand. As body weight is now entirely rested on left leg, move right foot to the inside of left foot, toes on floor while exhaling. Turn left hand leftward in a curve so that left palm is upright and facing out, keep fingertip eyebrow-height. Meanwhile, drop right palm in a curve to abdomen, palm facing upward and the little finger close to the navel. |
