Form 14. Draw a Bow to Shoot the Tiger

Before doing the actual posture, start with the "Right About- Turn" position first,

While inhaling, turn the arms outward and cross right arm over the left in front of chest, with both palms face up diagonally.

While exhaling, squat as if riding a horse. Turn the arms inward, and elbows protrude automatically. Push hands downward as if groping fish.

While inhaling, take a right about-turn (12 o'clock) on the right foot heel, and shift weight onto right leg. Land left foot by the right foot. And then shift weight onto left leg and raise right heel. Meanwhile, clench fists and retract them, face up, to flanks.

Bending the Bow to Shoot Tiger (Right Style):

Move the right foot forward to do a "right bow stance" while you are exhaling. Cross right forearm over left forearm in front of chest, and unclench fists.

While clenching fists again, pull with bent right arm, elbow pointing further right, and stretch out with left arm in the manner of drawing a bow. Look at left fist.

Bending the Bow to Shoot Tiger (Left Style):

While inhaling, shift weight onto right leg. Draw left foot to the inside of the right foot, toes on floor. Turn the arms outward and retract fists, facing up, to flanks.

Move the left foot forward to do a "left bow stance" while you are exhaling. Cross left forearm over right forearm in front of chest, and unclench fists.

While clenching fists again, pull with bent left arm, elbow is pointing left, and stretch out with right arm in the manner of drawing a bow. Look at right fist.

Repeat the right and left posture each five times.
