Form 17. Step Back and Repulse the Monkey

Continued from the preceding form.

Right posture

While inhaling, bend right knee and shift weight onto right leg in a sitting position. Slightly turn torso left. Draw left foot to the inside of right foot, toes on floor. Meanwhile, stretches right hand forward, palm turns upward. As your left foot steps back, move your left hand in a down curve past abdomen to left back, palm faces up. Keep arms curved as if holding in each palm a heavy object. Look at right hand.

While you are exhaling, take a step back to the left to do a "right bow stance". Meanwhile, turn right arm inward and press your right palm, faces down, to the outside of right thigh, and bend left arm till palm facing to the front, is near left ear. Push left palm forward. Look at front.
