Labradorite-Golden

Chemical Composition: of the Plagioclase Feldspar Group, a series of mixtures of sodium and calcium aluminum silicates. Also known as Spectrolite.

Occurrence: Labradorite is named for Labrador, where it was first discovered. It is also found in Madagascar, India, Newfoundland, Finland, and Russia. Its distinctive flash of irridescent colors is known as "labradorescence." These beautiful flashes of color change according to the angle of light refraction, and may be blue, green, yellow, and pink, with the majority of the stone itself a dark grey in color. It is captivating to see! One of my favorite stones!
Labradorite is an iridescent stone. It has subtle colors of green/blue/yellow, etc. It brings forth each person's strengths to share with the world. It helps one to be creative and brings out their originality. It helps with insomnia and brings about an easier, more restful sleep. It helps you to relate better to others. It opens the energy flow to the solar plexus and third eye chakras, or whatever center is most in need. It is a stone that is still evolving along with us.
