I Ching, Book of Changes, is an ancient Chinese system
of divination. According to the most tradition, the
essential text of the I Ching was developed before
1,000 B.C.by King Wan and the duke of Chou. Although
it is a product of ancient China, after thousands
of years, many people still consult the I Ching for
guidance or advice or when seeking answers to important
questions. It's a main reason I presented I Ching
here to help everyone who needs a guidance from our
ancestor's wisdom. I hope you will enjoy it.
An oracle of I Ching is cast by flipping coins
or more traditionally, by manipulating yarrow stalks.
The oracle is one of 64 different hexagrams. The hexagram
itself is composed of two trigrams, each consisting
of three lines. Those lines are either straight (or
Yang) or broken (Yin). In Chinese though, Yin and
Yang are the two basic principles in life. |
