Part Used & Method for Pharmaceutical Preparations: The ophicalcite stone is burned and ground into powder.

Properties & Taste: Sour, astringent and neutral

Meridians : Liver

Functions :
1. To stop bleeding;
2. To release stagnation

Indications & Combinations:
1. Vomiting with blood and cough with blood accompanied by blood stagnation. Ophicalcite (Huaruishi) is used with Notoginseng (Sanqi), Rubia stem (Qiancaotan) and Carbonized human hair (Xueyutan).

2. Hemorrhages caused by external injuries. The powder of Ophicalcite (Huaruishi) can be applied directly, externally.

Dosage: 10-15 g
